This policy explains what information Custom Art Studio ("we," "us") collects when you use this website, and how it's used.
What we collect
- The photo you upload and the artwork generated from it.
- Order details if you purchase a print: name, email, shipping address, phone number, and the size/material you chose. Payment card details are collected and processed by Stripe directly - we never see or store your full card number.
- A random device identifier stored in a cookie, used only to count how many free renderings you've used. It is not linked to your real identity unless you also place an order.
- Standard technical data (IP address, browser type) collected automatically by our hosting provider for security and abuse prevention.
How we use it
- To generate your custom artwork and show you a preview.
- To process payment, produce your print, and ship it to you.
- To enforce a fair-use limit on free renderings and prevent abuse.
- To respond if you contact us for support.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run this site, and only share what each one needs to do its job:
- OpenAI - your uploaded photo is sent to OpenAI's image API to generate the artwork.
- Stripe - processes your payment. See Stripe's own privacy policy for how they handle payment data.
- FinerWorks - our print-and-ship partner. If you order a print, they receive the finished artwork and your shipping address to produce and mail it.
We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
Uploaded photos and generated artwork are kept only as long as needed to fulfill an order and handle any follow-up (currently up to 12 months), then deleted. Order records are kept as required for accounting and tax purposes.
Your choices
You can ask us to delete your photo, generated artwork, or order information by emailing ericbrown@crimsonoctopi.com. We'll honor requests except where we're required to keep records (e.g. completed transactions).
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site changes. We'll update the date at the top when we do.
